Nuke is an industry leading compositing software.

This course makes learning Nuke as easy and FUN as possible. You'll learn by doing real-world projects and getting feedback from our teachers.

What is Compositing?

Check out this amazing video created by Roy Peker which explains what the art of compositing is all about.

What You will Learn

Every week will be focused on a certain topic so you can practice and build a really strong foundation before working on your final project.

Compositing is art of combining all the visual elements into a single image. We will cover all the basic subjects that are required to create a strong composite.

Rotoscoping is the creation of mattes for elements on a live-action plate, preparing it to be composited over another background.

Rotopaint is the process to remove unwanted artifacts and reconstruct the background. It is also used to digitally correct a render or composite and do beauty fixes on the actors.

Greenscreens (or bluescreens) are used to insert background elements into a live action shot. You can put the actors in an entirely different world by just extracting them from a scene using different keying techniques.

Camera Tracking

Camera tracking, or match moving, is a technique that allows the insertion of computer graphics into live-action footage with correct position, scale, orientation, and motion relative to the photographed objects in the shot.

CG Integration

Whether its Giant Robots or Massive Sea Monsters, Compositing is required to put these 3D elements into real-world footage to make them believable.

Sean Kalra is a visual effects artist, who has worked on various projects for some of the biggest clients in the industry including Warner Bros., Fox, Legendary Digital, 343 Industries, ABC and Bad Robot providing visual effects work for many different tv shows, films, and video Games.
